Morning Brigade
Morning Brigade
Morning Brigade is a folk-rock band based in Chapel Hill, NC. They have been described in press as "autumnal indie folk" and have been praised for a sound that is at once both epic and intimate. The band has played headlining gigs at such venues as Local 506 and Jack Sprat, and has opened for Megafaun at UNC's Historic Playmakers Theatre. The group is in the process of finishing their debut EP, which will be released this summer.
Clockwork Kids
Clockwork Kids
Clockwork Kids are an alternative rock band from Chapel Hill, North Carolina formed in February 2012 by lead singer/songwriter and bass guitarist Justin Ellis. Though originally intended as a temporary outlet for musical expression, the band gained popularity in the UNC- Chapel Hill community and quickly established itself as one of its premier student bands. In summer 2012, the band was rounded out with guitarist Jeff DeLuca, guitarist/ keyboardist /soundscapist Chris Petto, guitarist/ bassist Patrick Carney, and drummer Mike Carney. The band has since been busy writing material, recording demos, and recently completed their first tour around the state of North Carolina. With a sound described by the INDY Weekly magazine as "a [reverent] take on early R.E.M.", the band aims to combine the massive three-guitar approach of bands such as Radiohead and Shearwater with the more introspective lyricism of bands like Elbow and The Cure, with a decidedly 90's shoegaze-tinged flavor.
Parade Grounds
Parade Grounds
The Brooklyn based quartet began like most bands, as an idea in someone's bedroom. After collecting enough gear for a full band Jared soon realized all he needed now was the right friends to fill those spaces. Bassist Doug Drewes, Drummer Ryan Parker and Keyboardist Andy Emeritz came together and created what is now "Parade Grounds.

5 fellas and one classy dame join together to create space-country, rock-weirdness. Currently, they're working on their latest effort detailing the wonders and mysteries of life. Ears to the ground, HURRAH!

The Deli Magazine's Best Emerging Rock Band in 2011
"Wil Farr doesn't take long to drown himself in sweat. Spun from the same cloth as Bruce Springsteen or Ian Curtis, he routinely leads his homespun band to a blaze of glory, forcing his restless spirit and barbed hooks through anyone looking for a dose of excitement. Hurrah! builds each track of their heartland-brewed, rocking yet rootsy tunes to a frenzy, making believers of anyone looking for a rush of adrenaline chased down with a shot of big band frenzy."
