Formed in 2011, Raleigh/JoCo NC based Tight Like That is a tribute to one of the greatest bands ever, CLUTCH!! Comprised of Shane Gentry (former JoCo, From The Hip, Nekkid Monday), Shimer Gradus (former Brothers Grimm, HipSlack), Brandon Hockaday (former Tramping Ground, Strong Arm Salesmen), and recent transplant from D.C., Dave Maida (former Vyrus, Springheel Jack). They've all only played in original bands until this project. Individually they've all played hundreds of shows, done the recording/touring gig, shared the stage with national acts, had radio airplay in the U.S., Canada, Australia,...and even Mexico, been in magazines, on TV....you know...the whole nine. But for this project, it's all about having fun, and doing their best to do one of the greatest bands in the land a service by helping spread their music. Clutch has been around since 1990, have 10 studio albums along with several live and rarities albums, and typically sale out all of their shows. Having withstood the test of time, there is definitely a range in style. But overall, it's just straight groovin', jammin', rock and roll that appeals to pretty much anyone and everyone! You can be rest assured, Tight Like That is the next best thing, and you will not be disappointed!
Down Cycle

This 4 piece hard rock band writes with charged lyrics and heavy hitting tone. Their modern rock sound is influenced by bands such as Sevendust, TOOL, and Alice in Chains. Although reminiscent of such bands, DownCycle has an original take; mixing aggressive riffs and melodic vocals like nothing you’ve ever heard. Based in Raleigh, N.C. they are currently booking shows in various venues around the southeast. Music is available for purchase on itunes and Amazon mp3. To stay updated on upcoming show dates and band updates, send a friend request on Facebook or sign up for DownCycle's mailing list by sending a message with your email address.
Down Cycle has shared the stage with many major acts such as KING'S X, THE CULT, FINGER 11, RA, SOIL, LENNON, MAN MADE GOD, STAVESACRE and ECHOCAST.

It Gets Worse

Established in 2010, the current line up features; Jeff, Billy, Chris and Carsten, making up Raleigh's own " IT GETS WORSE". All veterans of the historic NC Rock/Metal scene. These Guys focus on producing catchy and riff heavy songs that make you wanna pound beer and your ole lady all at the same time. Paying homage to such NC bands like COC, Valiant Thor, Archers of Loaf , IT GETS WORSE strives to bring back catchy party Stoner Rock.....in Early 2013 IGW released a 5 song demo , with plans on doing a EP later in the fall.
Black Market Special

BLACK MARKET SPECIAL began when Jason Hall and former drummer Daniel Edwards met. They immediately clicked and wrote over 200 original songs over several years. After many lineup changes, 2008 saw the entrance of Jeff Hall on Drums and Josh Taylor on Rythm/lead guitar. Shortly after, bass player Mike Kantor fell in place. Undaunted, BMS treks forward…
BLACK MARKET SPECIAL thrives on originality. With the talent of all four members they are quickly establishing a strong fan base throughout the southeast. Accompanied by powerful riffs and melodic sounds, their strong thoughts and feelings are conveyed through their lyrics. The band name was derived from the concept that like the BLACK MARKET, they offer something that is not readily available these days, truly original rock at its best…and that is SPECIAL!
