Booking Information

By confirming a show at Deep South-The Bar, you are entering into an unspoken agreement: To bring out a minimum of 100 people. It’s not a relatively large room, and if you can't get 100 of your fans to come see your show, then you are not a match for our venue.

By playing the bar and failing to bring in this kind of crowd, you have just told us one or all of the following:

  1. “I’m not passionate enough about my own band to tell people I know to come see me play.”
  2. “Nobody cares enough about my band or its music to get in their cars and drive to see me.”
  3. “We’re really not that good. I convinced you guys to book us but really the only person who likes my music is my mom.”

While we love good music as much as the next guy, the fact of the matter is that venues book bands to draw business. The venue does not have an in-house crowd. If no one shows up to see your band, you will be playing a private show for our bartenders on staff that night. And if you can’t draw an audience at a small venue like Deep South-The Bar, don’t expect to play a larger one. And don’t expect an invite to return.
Before reaching out to a Deep South booking agent, ask yourself this question: Does my band have marquee value in Raleigh? If your answer is anything but a solid yes, then it’s not likely you will be given a headlining slot.
We have one to three opening acts on each show. In most cases, the headliner is responsible for selecting their support and compensating them to their discretion. We invite you to contact any headliner currently confirmed on our music calendar if you are interested in sharing a bill.

If you feel like your band is a match for Deep South-The Bar, send an e-mail to Elizabeth@deepsouthentertainment.com.
